Curriculum Vitae

Shayla is a writer/director with her master's degree in creative writing from Harvard University, Extention School. While studying the craft of storytelling, Shayla taught art to middle and high school students. She finally combined her love for story and image in writing for the screen. Since moving to LA, she has written, produced, and directed five short films, with nine more on the slate. Shayla's goal is to tell stories that challenge perception, entertain, and lift audiences to higher levels of understanding, both of self and the other.
